About
The NHSQ opens The Summer of Brahms Festival 2019 with the String Quartet no.3 in B flat Major, which Brahms composed in 1875 at the age of 42. Johanna Nowik and Orion Weiss will then be performing the Viola Sonata No. 2 in E Flat Major, one of the last chamber music works Brahms ever wrote, at the age of 61 in 1894. Orion Weiss then joins the NHSQ for what is often considered the crown of Brahms' chamber music, the F minor Piano Quintet, composed at the age of 33.
