Cho-Liang Lin, Paul Watkins and Rohan de Silva open the concert with Piano Quartet No.3 in C minor Composed in 1875 at the age of 42. Tereza Stanislav and Rohan de Silva continue with Violin Sonata No.3 in D minor composed between 1886-1888 and was premiered in 1888 at the age of 56 with Jeno Hubay on violin and Brahms himself at the piano. The Festival concludes with String Sextet No.2 in G Major, composed during the years of 1864-1865 and was first performed in Boston, Massachusetts on October 11th, 1866 when Brahms was 33 years old.
